<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration that enables the source of illegally distributed content to be verified from the content. <P>SOLUTION: Client provision content is created by selecting data in segment units from plural pieces of additional information recorded content obtained by recording different pieces of additional information on content. Different segment sequences are selected in client units, management information in which client information is associated with segment sequence information is created, and a client of a content distribution source is specified based on a segment sequence of illegally distributed content.
