<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unauthorized data copy. <P>SOLUTION: A storage device ST accepts a copy request from a server SV to be a request source of multiple servers SV. When the copy request is accepted, the storage device ST determines whether the request source server SV can access copy object data. When the request source server SV cannot access the copy object data, the storage device ST determines whether the right to copy the copy object data to any storage area is set on the request source server SV.
