The method involves applying the polymer material on the surface of fiber web machine-roller (10) by using a material supply element (204), under simultaneous rotation of the roller around own axis. The circumferential speed of an epoxy covering is matched with respect to the polymer material feeding speed. The composition of epoxy covering is converted into a non-flowable form during the rotation process of roller. The position of the material supply element is changed towards the rolling longitudinal axis (12). An independent claim is included for fiber web machine-roller.
