Abstract A stand (1) to be attached to a personal transport device (100). The device (100) including a base (112) and at least one axle (104) located at or adjacent a centre of mass of the device (100). The axle (104) is adapted to support at least one wheel (108). The wheel (108) is adapted to assist movement of the device (100) along a surface. The device (100) including a stand assembly (1) to be attached to the axle (104) so that in a use position the stand assembly (1) inhibits the device (100) from moving along the surface.
