<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the problem that band extensions are so realized that the components of low and high bands are amplified again and are lifted to audible levels, and therefore, the amplifications of the components are reflected directly to the amplifications of their amplitudes, and as a result, the maximum and minimum values included in digital-signal processing regions exceed their limits possibly. <P>SOLUTION: The band correcting apparatus 1 has one or a plurality of correcting units for correcting the signal levels of limited bands of an inputted signal having limited frequency bands, a level controlling unit for controlling the levels of the input signal to the correcting unit, a monitoring unit for so monitoring the output signals of the correcting unit that their signal levels do not exceed the limits of the maximum or minimum values required in the digital-signal processing regions, and a factor controlling unit for controlling the factors for the level controls of the level controlling unit, according to the level information obtained from the monitoring unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
