METHOD FOR REDUCTION OF SPLENIC BLOOD FLOW IN HYPERDYNAMIC VARIANT OF CHANGES IN PORTAL BLOOD FLOW

A method for the reduction of the splenic blood flow in hyperdynamic variant of changes in the portal blood flow comprises catheterization and embolization. The spiral occluder with primary configuration of the broken line or star and the elastic recovery of the secondary configuration for fitting 1.4-fold increased internal section of the vessel is pushed out with the aid of the stream of physiologic saline from 5-mL syringe without guide pusher. The procedure is performed under appropriate X-ray control.
