PURPOSE: A method for updating a user interface and a device thereof are provided to dynamically update a UI page according to a change of capability of RUIC, thereby providing a UI which is adaptively updated according to a capability change of the device. CONSTITUTION: A web browser(311) receives and renders a UI page from an RUI(Remote User Interface) server. A capability change sensing unit(316) senses a capability change. A US state storage unit(314) stores a UI state of the UI page by the sensed capability change. A UI request trigger unit(315) requests update according to the changed capability of the UI page to the RUI server. A US state reflecting unit(313) reflects the updated UI page to a UI state stored in the UI state storage unit and transmits the reflected state to the web browser.
