[Also in Division F4] A lamp holder 10 for a tubular lamp 11 comprises a support 12 for an end cap 13 and heatconducting members 26, 28 pivoted on the support and biased by compression spring 34 to engage end cap 13 so as to conduct heat from it. Cam 40 operated by a handle at the rear of holder 10 urges members 26, 28 apart for insertion or withdrawal of lamp 11. A contact (14) (Fig. 3, not shown) for the lamp is mounted in a spring-biased porcelain contact carrier (16) within support 12, and is crimped to a cable (25). |
