The invention relates to hoisting equipment. A lifting rectangular electromagnet has a magnetic conductor with two cores made of ferromagnetic material with trapezoidal coils secured thereon. The cores with coils are located in a casing. In the upper part of the latter ribs are made and ​​lifting devices and a voltage input box are located. In the upper part of the casing holes are made, into which cores of a magnetic conductor protruding beyond the upper part of the casing are passed. The cores are made with the ribs, whose height which is commensurate with the height of the casing ribs. The connections of the casing and its edges with the cores passed through said holes are joined by welding. The technical result is the increase of capacity in the given dimensions with simultaneous improvement of conditions of heat removal.
