The invention relates to a device for mixing an intake gas flow and a flow of recirculated exhaust gases, comprising a collector (30) supplied with intake gas (G), a means (20) for injecting exhaust gas into the intake gas flow (G), and at least one case for guiding the gases into the mixing device, the gases flowing in the guiding case in a main direction (X), the case comprising at least one portion defining a single gas flow for all the gases, the device characterised in that the injection means (20) include a plurality of diffusion openings (26) leading into the guiding case in the portion thereof that defines a single gas flow, said diffusion openings (26) being arranged such as to inject the flow of recirculated exhaust gases (H) perpendicular to the main direction (X) of gas flow (G) in the guiding case. |
