Accumulator system (26) comprising: an accumulator cylinder (28); an accumulator piston (32) movable within said accumulator cylinder; and an actuator cylinder (30) arranged to drive said accumulator piston (32) within said accumulator cylinder (30). The actuator cylinder (30) includes a multiple of nested actuator sleeves arranged in a telescoping manner. Said accumulator system is used as a bootstrap accumulator system in a closed loop cooling system of an aircraft.
