METHOD FOR ASSESSING EFFICACY OF TREATING PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS

A method for assessing the efficacy of treating psoriatic arthritis provides for blood examination. Prior to and in the course of the treatment with Leflunomide at a daily dose of 20 mg, the content of C-reactive protein, the dynamics of serum matrix proteinase of type 3 and erythrocyte sedimentation rate are analyzed. The number of the patients responding to the treatment according PsARC criterion is estimated. The decrease of the levels of the laboratory parameters mentioned above is indicative of the treatment efficacy.
