A solar power plant inverter module comprises a support 34 and a plurality of grid-tie inverters 20 mounted on the support 34. A solar power plant power module 1 comprises a portable housing 1 including a first and a second internal room separated from one another, a high-voltage substation transformer 13 mounted in the first room 2, and a low-voltage switchboard unit 16 mounted in the second room 3. A solar power plant may comprise the inverter module 20 and/or the power module. Installing such a module includes the steps of assembling and testing the module at an offsite location remote from a solar power plant site and delivering the module to the solar power plant site. Installing a solar power .plant includes the steps of installing the inverter module and the power module and connecting a power cable from a distribution board in the power module to a distribution board in the inverter module.
