A container comprising a tray 1 with at least one cavity 4 and a seal 10, the seal comprising a cover film 12 having pre-formed lines of separation 18 defining a removable portion 16 per cavity and a barrier film having lines of separation 24 defining a barrier patch 26 per removable portion, the barrier film being secured to a top surface 2 of the tray. The container may be a blister pack. The barrier film may only be secured to the tray by areas surrounding the patches e.g. by printing a grid pattern (figure 4) of adhesive 28. The barrier film may be formed of a heat-sealable material e.g. PET, Polypropylene. The barrier patch may be larger than the removable portion. Tray brackets (8, figure 1) and location rebates (14, figure 2, 22, figure 3) may provide accurate location of the seal. The cover and barrier films may be secured together by a peelable adhesive, static bonding etc. The cover film may be coated with a protective layer of silicone (50, figure 6) removing the need for a backing film or liner.
