An implement for cutting water-absorbing slits with simultaneous application of straw thereinto comprises a frame with the following units fixed thereon: a slit cutter, an apron longitudinal as regards to moving and two aprons transversal as regards to moving with a drive thereof. Arched side-frames have horizontal slotted holes. There are no parallel sections on the transversal aprons and the maximum compaction of the straw takes place at the inlet into the guiding side-frames.
