The system has a cover strip (2) held by a base profile (1) that has a base region for accommodating a cable conduit (3). The base region is arranged below a flooring level (5) in an assembled condition of the base profile. The base profile has a holding section (7) lying above the flooring level in the assembled condition and formed for fastening the cover strip. The cover strip is accommodated in the holding section in the assembled condition in a plaster level. An additional cable channel (8) is arranged in the holding section.
