摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for manufacturing methacrylic acid at a high methacrylic acid yield which is to be employed for manufacturing methacrylic acid by vapor phase catalytic oxidation of methacrolein with molecular state oxygen, a method of manufacturing the catalyst, and a method of manufacturing methacrylic acid using the catalyst for manufacturing methacrylic acid. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst is to be employed for manufacturing methacrylic acid by vapor phase catalytic oxidation of methacrolein with molecular state oxygen. The method of manufacturing the catalyst for manufacturing methacrylic acid involves preparing a solution or slurry (A solution) containing molybdenum and phosphorus, a solution or slurry (B solution) containing an alkali metal and/or alkaline earth metal, and a solution or slurry (C solution) containing ammonium radical; mixing the A solution and B solution for preparing AB solution and successively mixing the C solution; and adjusting the pH of the obtained slurry (ABC solution) to be 2 or higher and 4.5 or lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
