METHOD TO CONNECT LUG TO TORQUE CONVERTER AND TORQUE CONVERTER MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A torque converter and a connection lug coupling method thereof are provided to simplify process by compressing a connection lug by using a press and combining the connection lug to a front cover. CONSTITUTION: An impeller is combined to a front cover(4) and revolves with the front cover. A turbine is arranged in a location putting opposite to impeller. A reactor(10) varies the flow of oil coming out from the turbine into the impeller. The front cover is combined to a connection lug. The connection lug is combined to a drive plate which transfers driving force of an engine. A plurality of protrusions is provided to the connection lug. The front cover provides a groove corresponding to the protrusion of the connection lug. A torsional damper(20) is combined to a lock-up clutch(14) and absorbs impact and vibration actuating to a rotational direction.
