The device comprises a blowing station with a cavity, in which the plastic preforms are expanded. The blowing station comprises a base part, which delimits the cavity. The base part is detachably arranged in a carrier (6) by a fastening mechanism. The device comprises a force exerting member (10) acting upon with a selectable force, which is held together the base part and the carrier in a mounted state of the base part at the carrier producing a holding force. An independent claim is also included for a method for fastening a base part of a device for shaping plastic preforms in plastic containers.
