METHOD FOR PREDICTING POSTINFARCTION HEART FAILURE IN PATIENTS WITH Q-POSITIVE INFARCTION

A method for predicting postinfarction heart failure in the patients with Q-positive infarction comprises blood examination. Cardiohemodynamic parameters are analyzed on the first postinfarction day. The index of the relative thickness of the walls of left ventricle in venous blood plasma is calculated. In addition, the level of endothelin-1 is assayed. The values are compared with control ones obtained previously and postinfarction heart failure may be predicted.
