An electronic device includes a base (10), a locking mechanism (20), and a battery (30). The base (10) includes a receiving bay (11) and a battery bay (12). The receiving bay (11) includes a through slot (113) defined thereon. The battery (30) is selectively restrained in the battery bay (12) by the locking mechanism (20). The locking mechanism (20) includes a locking member (21) and an elastic element (22) received in the receiving bay (11). The locking member (21) is movable and includes a clutching end (2121) extending into the battery bay (12). The elastic element (22) is joined to the receiving bay (11) and the locking member (21). The locking member (21) further includes an operation portion (2115) defined thereon for a user to operate the locking mechanism (20). The operation portion (2115) is located within the receiving bay (11) and is exposed to outside of the receiving bay (11) through slot (113). The battery (30) includes a connecting end (31) defined thereon for engaging with the clutching end (2121) so as to be restrained in the battery bay (12).
