PURPOSE: A terminal for controlling adaptive data communication and operation method thereof are provided to optimize power consumption by establishing the data communication of a service business network. CONSTITUTION: A control unit controls the activation of a communication based program when an input signal is generated in order to execute a communication based user function(303, 307). In case the state of a display unit is changed into a turn on state, the control unit activates a first timer according to an FD(Fast Dormancy) policy corresponding to a first FD(309, 311). In case the state of display unit is changed into a turn off state, the control unit activates the first timer according to the FD policy corresponding to a second FD(313). |
