Complex (A) of a cyclodextrin or its derivative and a low molecular weight halogenated ether in a molar ratio of 1:1 or 2:1 or 3:1, is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) the preparation of (A); and (2) a pharmaceutical formulation that is liquid or solid under normal conditions, comprising (A). ACTIVITY : Anesthetic; Analgesic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
