<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish the technology for improving user convenience by preferentially displaying image data on a storage medium newly loaded when the new storage medium is loaded while a listing of image data on a plurality of types of storage media is displayed. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes a plurality of loading units for loading storage media and displays a listing of image data stored on a plurality of storage media loaded in the loading units. The image processing apparatus includes: a detection means for detecting loading/unloading of storage media to/from the loading units; a control means for acquiring image data stored on the storage media loaded in the loading units; a storage means for temporarily storing the obtained image data; a sorting means for permuting the image data stored in the storage means in a predetermined order; and a display means for displaying a listing of the image data in the predetermined order. In a case where loading of a storage medium is newly detected while the listing of the image data is displayed, the sorting means permutes image data read from the new storage medium so as to preferentially include the image data in the listing being displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
