PURPOSE: A guide wire for inserting a catheter into the blood vessel is provided to secure the flexibility and the operational ability of the wire, and to offer the increased bond strength between first and second wires. CONSTITUTION: A guide wire(1) includes a wire main body(10) with first and second wires(2, 3) in a linear shape. The first wire contains a first component with the content decreasing toward the stylobate part direction. The second wire contains a second component with the content decreasing toward the tip-end part direction. The first and second wires contain a same metal element. The second wire is formed with a material having the greater elasticity than a material for forming the first wire. The first wire is formed with a Ni-Ti system alloy. The second wire is formed with stainless steel or a Co alloy. |
