PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to display a thumbnail image in a group unit and to increase display speed of a thumbnail image. CONSTITUTION: A memory(160) stores one thumbnail image corresponding to image files. A display(151) displays a plurality of thumbnail images. A control unit(180) divides the plurality of thumbnail images into one group. The control unit displays the divided thumbnail image on the display.
