PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article where a surface sheet is hardly detached from an absorbing medium, and remaining of liquid and flowing of the liquid on the surface sheet are prevented, which is excellent in absorption performance and leakage prevention performance and from which comfortable wearing feeling with reduced wet feeling is obtained. SOLUTION: The absorptive article 1 is provided with a liquid permeable front face sheet 2, a liquid impermeable rear face sheet 3 and a liquid-carrying absorbing medium 4 interposed between both of the sheets, and the absorptive article 1 is formed to be oblong substantially. The front face sheet 2 contains expandable fibers, has a noncontinuous press-fitting part 7 formed by integrally compressing the front face sheet 2 and the absorbing medium 4 in a center area D in a width direction of a part A opposing a discharging part, and has a connection part 8 where the front face sheet 2 and the absorbing medium 4 are continuously connected on each of both sides of the center area D.
