PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BEAM AND METHOD OF CONTINUING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A pre-stressed concrete beam and a continuous construction method are provided to construct a bridge as a complete continuous bridge by using a lap joint of a steel reinforcement, a welding of the steel reinforcement, and a coupler because a continuous support unit which is a space between end parts of the connected beam can be prepared with an enough size and to reduce cracking possibility on the continuous joint unit and a bottom plate of the joint. CONSTITUTION: A continuous construction method of a pre-stressed concrete beam is as follows. Pre-stressed concreted concrete beams(100) which are prepared to be connected to each other are arranged on an abutment. A bottom slab concrete is primarily placed on the upper surface of each pre-stressed concrete beam. The concrete is placed in a continuous support(5). The continuous support is formed by an end part of a supporting joint in which pre-stressed concrete beams are connected. The bottom slab concrete is secondly placed on the placed concrete in the continuous support.
