PURPOSE: An apparatus for winding insulation material for pipes and a method thereof are provided to simplify work and reduce time for working because insulation material is manufacture by rolling, thermosetting, and cutting. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for winding insulation material for pipes includes a winding drum(100), a thermal sealing machine(200), and a cutting machine(400). The winding drum makes the front end of insulation material to be adsorbed and fixed in order for rolling. The thermal sealing machine makes the end of the insulation material rolled in the winding drum to be thermal sealed or attached to attach on the exterior of the insulation material. The cutting machine cuts the insulation material rolled in the winding drum in longitudinal direction.
