<p>The core tank has a fuel assembly transfer hole and accommodates a fuel assembly transfer system with lifting pipes to receive the assemblies to be transferred. An actuator can move the lifting pipes across the top of the core and between the top and the fuel assembly transfer hole. The actuator is a swivelling arm with a carriage which can move along it. The arm is attached to a vertical spindle which can rotate around a vertical axis.</p> |
