PURPOSE: An electrostatic discharge protection method which uses a radiant heat discharge process is provided to detect a semiconductor circuit from an electrostatic discharge phenomenon using a non-semiconducting electrostatic discharge protection process. CONSTITUTION: An electrostatic discharge device comprises a voltage-sensitized voltage switching polymer(10) and a heat transfer material. The voltage-sensitized voltage switching polymer provides a thermal radiation surface(40) by being arranged between first and second electrodes for discharging heat when an electrostatic discharge condition is satisfied. The heat transfer material emits thermal energy when the electrostatic discharge condition is satisfied. A spacer precisely separates electrodes from each other.
