PURPOSE: A start motor for vehicles is provided to improve durability and prevent deformation or damage of the operation member by connecting a magnet switch and an overrunning clutch. CONSTITUTION: A start motor for vehicles includes a magnet switch, a overrunning clutch(120), and an operation member(130). A shaft(111) of the magnet switch moves with reciprocates linearly by electromagnetic force. The overrunning clutch is connected and separated to or from the crank shaft of the engine. The overrunning clutch is rotated with the crank shaft. The driving force of shaft is delivered to the overrunning clutch. The operation member is connected to the magnet switch and the overrunning clutch.
