FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel compounds of the N',N'-dialkylhydrazide class and can be used in copper hydrometallurgy. Para-tertbutylbenzoic acid N',N'-dialkylhydrazides of general formula tertC4H9C6H4CONHN(R)2 are obtained, where R is an aliphatic radical CnH2n+1 n=1-10. The compounds, preferably with number of carbon atoms per radical (n) from 6 to 10, are used as an extraction agent for copper (II) from ammonia solutions.
