PURPOSE: A shear-compression deformable earthquake-proof joint method is provided to prevent shock from being transferred to a structure by easily compressing a shear-compression deformable material in case of an earthquake. CONSTITUTION: A shear-compression deformable earthquake-proof joint method is as follows. A bottom plate(1) or a wall is arranged to be separated from the mounting position of a seismic joint(40). A pair of shear-compression deformable materials(20) are formed between the mounting position of the seismic joint and the separated bottom plate. An expansion joint(30) is formed between the shear-compression deformable materials. The tops of the shear-compression deformable materials are extended to the height of the bottom plate, and the shear-compression deformable materials are fixed to the bottom plate using set anchors(5).
