The flexible composite material comprises natural products (less than 5%) derived from petrochemicals, and a fibrous support having a weight of 50-1000 g/m 2>and a thickness of less than 1 cm. The support includes weave fabric, knit fabric and nonwoven fabric, and is impregnated with resin (5-50 wt.%). The resin includes tannin (50-95%), crosslinking agent (3-10%), glyoxalated lignin (0-5%) having a molecular weight of 400-10000, and additives (0-5%), where a proportion between the lignin and the tannin is 50/50. The additives include fillers, pigments, binders and functionalizing agents. An independent claim is included for a process for fabricating a flexible composite material.
