FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. An occluder for body passage closure comprises an occluding component, a first positioning element and a second positioning element. The occluding component represents a cylinder made of a flexible and liquid-impermeable non-shape-memory material. The cylinder comprises a proximal chamber, a distal chamber and a connecting port which links these two chambers. The occluding component may be compressed into a first extended profile. A proximal end of the occluding component is attached to the first positioning element. A distal end of the occluding component is attached to the second positioning element. The first and second positioning elements provide a hermetic overlap of the cylinder and represent two mutually matched components. There are no stiffeners provided inside the cylinder to make it rigid in its third position extended radially, but compressed longitudinally. The method involves application of the occluder and the related delivery system equipped with a guide catheter, occluder delivery to a body passage to be closed and occluder positioning in such a manner that one chamber of the cylinder is arranged on one side of a passage wall, while another chamber is located on the other passage wall; it is followed by inflating of the occluding component and occluder position checking. ^ EFFECT: enabled effective body passage closure in a human or an animal with using a simple occluder. ^ 18 cl, 9 dwg |
