PURPOSE: An electrochemical continuous flow type wastewater treating method and an apparatus for the same is provided to convert nitrogen oxide contained in wastewater into nitrogen gas based on emitted electrons and to discharge the nitrogen gas. CONSTITUTION: A reacting bath is formed by connecting an acidification reactor(12) and a reduction reactor(13). Wastewater to be denitrificated is introduced into the reacting bath. The cathode of the reduction reactor is coated with graphene. Water is electrolyzed in the acidification reactor and generates oxygen and satisfies biochemical and chemical oxygen demands in the reacting bath. The oxygen is reacted with nitrogen compound contained in the wastewater and generates nitrate ions. High electric potential difference negative current is supplied to the graphene coated cathode of the reduction reactor. Electrons are emitted from the surface of the graphene. The emitted electrodes are reacted with nitrogen positive electric charges, and nitrogen oxide is converted into nitrogen gas. |
