The tree has a base, a trunk, and foliage, where the base is heavy enough to support an entire assembly of the tree. The trunk comprises multiple elements, and the foliage consists of branches, where the branches have different lengths according to the location of the branches on the trunk. A retractable tip is provided at the top of the tree for retracting the tree between a floor and a ceiling. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling an artificial Christmas tree.
