CARBON DIOIXDE SEQUESTER USING MOLTEN SLAG

PURPOSE: An apparatus for reducing carbon dioxide using molten slag is provided to reduce carbon dioxide by accelerating a carbonizing process with respect to calcium oxide or magnesium oxide in slag with carbon dioxide generated from a pig iron making process. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for reducing carbon dioxide using molten slag includes a slag atomizer(10), a carbonizing reactor(20), a first discharged heat collecting unit(40), and an exhaust gas supplying unit(30). The slag atomizer sprays molten slag and forms slag powder. The carbonizing reactor carbonizes the slag powder and carbon dioxide. The exhaust gas supplying unit supplies exhaust gas containing carbon dioxide into the carbonizing reactor. The first discharged heat collecting unit collects reacting heat generated from the carbonizing reactor by being arranged at the external side of the carbonizing reactor. The carbonizing reactor and the exhaust gas supplying unit are connected by a conduit for supplying carbon dioxide containing exhaust gas.
