PURPOSE: An output control system of a digital audio signal is provided to prevent malfunction of an instrument by informing whether an ARC function of each port is supported. CONSTITUTION: An external device is physically connected with ports. The ports include a channel which transmits a digital audio signal. A memory(101) memorizes channel data. A transmission state of a digital audio signal in an ARC(Audio Return Channel) standard is recorded in the channel data.
