FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to films and packaging for a myoglobin-containing food product using a myoglobin blooming agent. The film for packing a myoglobin-containing food product has one or more layers which are in form of a sheet or bag and has a layer for contact with the food product which contains a myoglobin blooming agent, and an oxygen barrier layer. The packaging is meant for a myoglobin-containing food product which contains at least 5 wt % water, and has a container and a polymer film, having an oxygen barrier layer and a layer for contact with the food product. ^ EFFECT: myoglobin blooming agent enables to obtain the desirable appearance of a food product or preserves its appearance while also prolonging the shelf life and freshness of meat. ^ 96 cl, 12 ex |
