The vehicle has a shock absorber (2) connecting a wheel of the vehicle to structure of the vehicle. A support (22) is connected to the structure of the vehicle, and another support (23) is connected to the shock absorber. A helical spring (1) is in support between the two supports, where a damping device (3) damps lateral oscillations of the spring. An axle (24) is connected to the supports and engaged with the damping device to permanently exert radial traction force on an intermediate turn (11) of the spring for damping the lateral oscillations of the spring.
