FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, namely, to thread rolling. Thread rolling roller has outer peripheral working surface consisting of taper lead, cylindrical gauge section and hub with bore and key groove. Taper lead threads are provided with fillets arranged spaced apart by, at least, 4P along the thread, where P is pitch of cut thread. Said fillets are staggered. Their length makes at least 2P while maximum recess depth makes at least (0.3Ç0.4)P. ^ EFFECT: higher efficiency, better contact between billet and roller. ^ 10 dwg, 1 ex |
