PURPOSE: AV(Audio/Video) system and method for automatically recognizing a shadow region are provided to prevent the disturbance of driving due to noise since when a vehicle enters a potential shadow region or a shadow region, a mode is automatically changed. CONSTITUTION: AV system(10) comprises a determining unit(110) and a control unit(120). The determining unit determines using GPS(Global Positioning System) and map data whether the vehicle entered the shadow region or not. The determining unit uses the GPS information and map data. If the vehicle entered the shadow region, the control unit changes the current mode to a predetermined mode to prevent the output of noise from a radio in the shadow region. |
