Depicted is a process for the manufacture of latex products containing chitosan with antifungal activity. The present invention also refers to the use of shavings of wet blue leather along with chitosan for the manufacture of latex products for diabetic patients, which generally produce malformations or the loss of lower limbs; mainly shoes insoles and gloves amongst others for avoiding infections caused by a group of fungi best known as dermatophytes which have the ability of using keratin as nutrient source.
