The orthosis (10) has a compressive portion (12) with a transparent lower portion (18) extending from a lower region e.g. foot part (14), of the orthosis until a circumferential border (20). The compressive portion has an opaque upper portion (22) extending from the border until an upper region e.g. band (16), of the orthosis. The mesh structure and the nature of weft and knit yarns for the orthosis are respectively selected for the lower and upper portions to provide continuous therapeutic pressure profile that decreases from ankle over entire limb wrapped with the lower and upper portions.
