PURPOSE: A system and a method for multimedia streaming of distributed contents using a mobile agent are provided to collect and update content information through a mobile agent, thereby drastically reducing the burden of a network. CONSTITUTION: A content server(12) stores multimedia contents. A meta information server(13) stores meta information about the multimedia contents. A mobile agent server(14) generates a mobile agent. The mobile agent circulates through nodes to collect and update the meta information by controlling the mobile agent server. A streaming server(11) decides an optimal streaming node. |
