FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. A surgical cutoff stapler comprises an end effector and a handle. The end effector has a groove, a stopper, a movable cutting instrument for cutting an object positioned between the stopper and the groove, and a staple cartridge. The stopper is movably coupled with the groove. The removable staple cartridge is arranged in the groove and comprises a sliding block which is interlocked with the cutting instrument in process of cutting. The handle comprises an electric motor for actuating the cutting instrument by a main drive shaft assembly. The apparatus additionally comprises a first interlock circuit to unblock the electric motor actuation with regard to the staple cartridge position. ^ EFFECT: apparatus prevents the unpurposed actuation and manipulation of the clamps. ^ 16 cl, 44 dwg |
