<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric micro blower shifting the position of a discharge port from a central part of a housing. <P>SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric micro blower, a blower chamber 5 is formed between a blower housing 1 and a diaphragm 20 with a piezoelectric element 21, a voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element to induce bending vibration of the diaphragm to discharge air from the blower chamber. The blower chamber is formed into an ellipse such that a maximum displacement point of the diaphragm is positioned at one focal point F1 of the ellipse and an opening 41 is formed in the position of the other focal point F2 of the ellipse. A pressure wave generated by the diaphragm is reflected from an inner peripheral wall of the blower chamber and is discharged as an air flow by swallowing surrounding air when discharged through the opening. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
