<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce axial height of an coil end while sufficiently securing insulating performance at the coil end in a configuration in which a coil is wound in a distributed winding manner in a rotating electric machine stator. <P>SOLUTION: A stator 10 includes: a stator core 14 having slots arranged in a plurality of portions in the circumferential direction; and stator coils 16, 18, 20 of multiple phases wound around the stator core 14 in a distributed winding manner. At an coil end 30 formed by part of the stator coils 16, 18, 20 of multiple phases, a gap G1 between the coils of different phases which is a minimum clearance between conductor segments 24 of different phases located adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction is set larger than a gap G2 between the coils of the same phase which is a minimum clearance between conductor segments 24 of the same phase located adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
